My First Time Using my Selfie Stick

I have to admit I was afraid of this selfie stick when it arrived. I had anticipated all the wonderful things I would be able to do with it, and the great pics I could capture, but when the thing arrived, with the skimpiest of instructions, I thought maybe I should hire someone to take these images.

TAKE A BREATH AND DO A SEARCH

My go-to advice in any situation is to take a breath and go to the Internet. How did we ever manage before Google? And, sure enough, I found video after video on how to use a selfie stick. Tonight’s shoot is the result of experimenting with a new outfit and with my new selfie stick.

I found this sandwich board sign thrown out in the street a few blocks from my apartment. I added some boho touches and welcomed it into my home.

I’m trying different poses to see what looks best. As an older woman I find it more difficult to look good in photos.

This little remote is the magic button that works with the selfie stick. One quick push of this button and the camera takes the picture. I love technology!
