Experimenting With Hairstyles and Images

For the past 40 years or so I’ve worn my hair in a very short buzzcut. About 4 years ago one of my friends suggested I let it grow just to see how it looked. I had pictures of myself in my 20’s with long, shiny auburn hair gently curling down my back.

And so began an experiment to see if I could recapture a bit of my youth by going back to the hairstyle of younger days.

Growing it out was fun and I captured the different stages on camera. I let it grow until it resembled the style and length in my pictures.

NO! THIS IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED!

I looked old. I didn’t look like the energetic golden-ager I felt inside. This is not my image. This is not working.

I buzzed it all off. I am home.
