Preparing For the Next Stage of my Reinvention
As I prepare for the next stage of my reinvention, I’ve thought about what that means for me, and what I want to share with you.
I can’t say that reinventing at 77 is harder than attempting this at a younger age because that just wouldn’t be true.
Reinventing at any age is difficult because it involves:
1. Changing habits
2. Changing mindset
3. Changing relationships
4. Refocusing on personal goals and dreams
The question becomes, how to do the above, and here’s my plan:
1. I will identify patterns, values and activities that no longer work for me.
2. I will embrace change.
3. I will define achievable goals.
4. I will practice mindfulness.
5. I will explore what living an unconventional life means for me.
6. I will spend a portion of each day looking for the beauty, and the peacefulness and the artistry that defines bohemian values.
7. I will connect with a support system.
8. I will start small and celebrate my wins.
9. I will evaluate my progress and adjust accordingly.
Just to be clear, this is not just about donating my clothes to Goodwill and filling my closet with bohemian garments. This is a complete body, mind and spirit reboot, saying goodbye to the damaged woman I was, and hello to the peaceful woman I am, because I am finally who I was always meant to be.
I am a gray-all-the-way buzzcut kind of gal. My hair and complete style are almost ready to be revealed.
As the weather warms I will take you with me on my adventures to discover and explore what this new life means.
Hopefully, along the way, I’ll inspire other woman to begin their own journey of discovery and reinvention.
With love,
LGrace
